Course Welcome Letter

Osher at Dartmouth normally provides a Welcome Letter to all course registrants a couple of weeks prior to the first class session. This letter includes info such as the class schedule, Google Drive link, book info, etc. We’re announcing an exciting change starting this Winter 2025 term! This same information will now be provided via the confirmation letter emailed to you upon successfully registering for a course.

The confirmation letter should automatically arrive in your email Inbox a few minutes after you complete registration. It will be re-sent to you a few days prior to your first class session.

The confirmation letter will include:

• Course schedule
• Study Leader contact info
• Google Drive link for course materials and roster
• Required books (if applicable)
• Zoom link for the course (if applicable)
• Link to the Recording folder (if applicable)

Our hope is that this change provides additional time for you to prepare for your course. Be sure to save the message, or click the Google Drive link and bookmark that page, as the info in the confirmation letter will be available in that folder as well.

Google Drive Folders

Starting Winter 2025, Google Drive course folders will include a document titled “Course Links.” This file will contain the following:

• Study Leader contact info
• Zoom link (if applicable)
• Recordings folder link (if applicable)
• Google Drive folder link
• Feedback form link (for use once the course has ended)

When you receive your course confirmation letter, be sure to click the Google Drive folder link and bookmark it for easy access to this and other course materials!

Cancellation Policies

Due to potential winter weather disruptions or other unexpected events, course schedules may change. Please check your email regularly, especially on the day of your class, in case a change to the planned schedule is necessary.

Osher staff has worked with all Winter 2025 Study Leaders to provide a file detailing their individual cancellation policy in their course Google Drive folder.

Hearing Assistance

If you will be attending a course or event at Osher’s 1 Court Street location and need hearing assistance, please contact Osher staff prior to the scheduled start time. We will prepare a hearing assistance device for your use in the classroom.

Food and Drink at Court Street

Thanks to the attentiveness and care displayed by attendees in Court Street classrooms over the last few months, members are now welcome to enjoy snacks in all of our Court Street classrooms. Please remember to tidy up as necessary; cleaning supplies are available in the kitchen spaces in each Osher suite.

So long as you bring your own lidded or capped container, you are welcome to enjoy a beverage in all Osher spaces at Court Street. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available in the Osher kitchens for a $1 donation.

All of us on the Osher at Dartmouth staff want to thank everyone for your help in keeping our classrooms clean!
