Getting started

Are there a certain number of classes I have to offer?
No, you can teach a course in one or two sessions or five or six sessions or more.

Can I choose to teach on zoom or in person?
Yes, your teaching modality is your choice.

Who determines if my course will be accepted?
Your course proposal is sent to the vetting Committee and depending on other courses offered in that term, you may be asked to teach in a different term.

Is there a suggested list of courses that Osher at Dartmouth is looking to offer?
Osher at Dartmouth has a list of brainstormed courses, but you can propose any course you like. 

Do you have to be a specialist in your subject or can you propose a course on a subject that interests you? You can offer a course on any topic. If you are not an expert on the subject,  you can bring in speakers who are.
